Pokémon GO's search bar is far more powerful than most trainers realise. Type any of the strings below to instantly filter your inventory — by CP, HP, IV, type, move, region, evolution status and dozens more — then chain them with &, , and ! for laser-precise searches. Here's the complete list.
Hunting perfect spawns? 4* shows every 100% IV Pokémon you own in one tap, and shiny filters your shinies. New to IVs? See IVs explained.

FAQ
- How do I find 100% IV Pokémon in my inventory in Pokémon GO?
- Type 4* in the search bar — it shows every 100% IV (15/15/15) Pokémon you own. 3* covers 82.2–97.8% IVs, and you can combine, e.g. 4*&shiny for shiny hundos. To find them out in the world, PokeXperience posts live 100% IV coordinates you can teleport to.
- How do I search for shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO?
- Type shiny. Combine it for precision — shiny&legendary for shiny legendaries, or shiny&!costume to exclude costume and event versions.
- What does the & symbol mean in Pokémon GO search?
- & means AND, a comma, semicolon or colon means OR, and ! means NOT. For example, shiny&!costume&3*- finds shiny, non-costume Pokémon that are 3★ or higher.
- How do I find Pokémon I can evolve right now?
- Use evolve for anything that can evolve now, or evolve&evolvenew to show only evolutions that add a brand-new entry to your Pokédex.
- How do I filter Pokémon by CP in Pokémon GO?
- cp100 matches exactly 100 CP, cp100- is 100 and above, cp-100 is 100 and below, and cp10-100 is a range. HP works the same way using hp instead of cp.
